How to participate

To participate in this project, you will first look at the prompts below to figure out which prompt you would like to use. You will then submit an artwork along with a summary of the piece, the name of the prompt you used and your name (Or you can stay anonymous), to the email capstone@edlinschool.com. You may not choose any other prompt then the ones shown, but any medium is welcome. Thank you for choosing to participate in the empowerment of women.

Prompts

  1. Behind the Filter explores social media and comparison culture. Artwork may show the difference between how someone presents themselves online and how they feel inside, create a filtered versus real image, illustrate what is not shared on social media, or reveal hidden emotions behind a smiling face.
  2. Generations examines beauty standards across time. Artists may show how expectations differ between generations, create side-by-side images of past and present ideals, or illustrate messages passed down through families, media, or culture.
  3. Unfiltered: No Filters Allowed focuses on authenticity and realness. Participants may create a raw, unedited representation of themselves, show imperfections as part of identity, or represent what being real looks like to them.
  4. From Hurt to Healing highlights growth and resilience. Artists may show a journey from insecurity to confidence, create a piece about something they have overcome related to self-image, or represent healing as an ongoing process rather than a single moment.
